Team Nvidia have secured the services of John Crockford, the 2000 British Superbike Cup champion, for the Mondello round of the BSB championship this weekend. received a mammoth response to its request for available riders to get in touch on behalf of the Nvidia team, with emails coming in from all over the world.

All the applications were passed onto the team with team boss Brent Gladwin making the final decision.

"We chose John Crockford because we knew he would produce a good solid ride on a bike he doesn't know," commented Gladwin. "We don't want any heroics just a consistent performance that we can trust John to give. Some members of the team have already worked with him and we are looking forward to Mondello at the weekend."

The team's contracted rider Dennis Hobbs today visited the specialist in charge of his rehabilitation after he broke his wrist at Oulton Park and learned he would not be able to ride for the next five weeks.

This means Hobbs will miss both the Mondello Park and Croft round of the BSB championship.
