This weekend at Brands Hatch will see HM Plant Honda's Ryuichi Kiyonari start his third attack on the BSB title - having finished a close runner-up to Gregorio Lavilla last season.

Last year Kiyonari had the perfect start to his season by scoring two victories aboard his HRC-backed Fireblade; something he will doubtless be looking to repeat this weekend.

"I hope to have a good start to the season," said Kiyo. "Brands Hatch is not my most favourite circuit but the CBR1000RR has been very good in winter testing and I am looking forward to racing again."

Joining Kiyonari at the factory team will be Karl Harris, who last year scored two sixth place finishes at the season opener on a BLD Honda - and is looking for much better after impressive testing performances.

"After all the winter testing it will be great to go racing. The HM Plant Honda Fireblade has been excellent throughout the winter and I'm hoping that the test results will translate into strong race results. No matter what happens it's going to be good," declared the Briton.
