Stuart Easton has been given the opportunity to race in World Supersport for the SC Carrachi Ducati team following a phone call from Ducati's Paolo Ciabatti.

A surprised but very pleased Easton speaking exclusively to Crash.net radio said "It is Stefano Carrachi's team SC Carrachi Ducati that I will be riding for. I'm not sure how it came about, but Paolo Ciabatti from the Ducati factory got in touch with us and just asked if I'd like to do it and I jumped at the chance."

It is not often a big opportunity like this comes up but it is something that Easton has been hoping for, "It was a wee bit of a shock but I've been waiting for a chance like this, I've been doing British supersport on Ducatis for four years and I've had some good results over the years and it is nice to get recognised really," grinned Easton.

There are two clashes between the World and British Championships so on those dates Easton will race in Britain as he is in third in the British Championship at the moment. "The rounds that clash with the British championship I'll definitely be doing the British championship, we've started that and we're in the hunt really only ten points off the leader," explained Easton, "So that is my main priority really but I'm really looking forward to doing the world championship as well."

Lack of track knowledge isn't putting the fast Scott off the task in hand "I've never been to any of the circuits really. I've been to Valencia testing but that race is already gone, I've got two rounds in Britain, Silverstone and Brands, the rest I've never seen. I've got to learn them some time so I'll be doing plenty of laps on a scooter on a Thursday and learning them as fast as I can," he concluded.
