Christian Iddon has topped the final free practice session at Assen in drying conditions ahead of Bradley Ray and Peter Hickman.

After overnight rain soaked the Dutch circuit, the Tyco BMW timed his run on the drying track to perfection to lead FP3 by almost a full second from Buildbase Suzuki’s Ray. With the majority of riders and title contenders opting not to risk too much in the in-between conditions it provided a shaken up order with Hickman on the Smiths Racing BMW third and Jake Dixon on the RAF Reserves Kawasaki in fourth.

Glenn Irwin on the Be Wiser Ducati grabbed fifth place ahead of wildcard Bennetts Suzuki entry Richard Cooper and Jakub Smrz on the Lloyd & Jones/PR Racing BMW.

Sylvain Guintoli continued his impressive start to the Assen race weekend in eighth place for Bennetts Suzuki as Michael Laverty (McAMS Yamaha) and Danny Buchan (Quattro Plant FS-3 Kawasaki) completed the top ten.

The remaining BSB Showdown contenders ended FP3 without any serious issues with Josh Brookes 13th, Shane Byrne 17th, Jason O’Halloran 19th and Leon Haslam 26th.
