Dan Eaves admits he can't wait to make his return to action in the HiQ MSA British Touring Car Championship this weekend at Brands Hatch as the new Cartridge World Carbon Zero Racing team prepares to hit the track for the first time.

Eaves, still the only person to win all three races on the same day in the BTCC's current race weekend format, will line-up alongside Adam Jones in a two-car SEAT team, with the cars being powered by bio-ethanol fuel.

It will mark Eaves' return to action for the first time since he split with Team Halfords at the end of the 2005 season and he admitted he was thrilled to be back.

"I'm really looking forward to the start of the season, Brands is a special place," he said. "We're a new team with a lot of experienced people who have a lot to prove.

"We've come together very well and they are all great guys and girls. I'd like to thank all our sponsors and want them to know that I think we have a great chance of some good results this season."

Team-mate Jones comes into the team having already spent a season racing the Leon for Team Aircool, and he too said he was hopeful of a strong season.

"I'm convinced that the season will be good for the team," he said. "Having a team-mate will make life easier both on track and off compared to last season, when it was just me out there. I can't wait to go racing again and with a little luck we can get some good results."
