Stephen Jelley will launch a new initiative for motorsport fans at the Autosport International Show this week, called 'Scoop of Jelley'.

The programme will give members of the public the chance to sponsor the former Team RAC man and help him compete in the 2010 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship.

"This is a unique scheme and the first time an initiative of this type has been launched in top line UK motorsport," he said. "The most important people in motorsport are the fans and 'Scoop of Jelley' is a fan experience letting anyone become part of the team and having a personal involvement in my charge towards the British Touring Car Championship."

'Scoop of Jelley' will be divided into three options, 'I Scream', where participants will get one-on-one tuition from Jelley, as well as 'Jelly Legs', which offers passenger rides and 'Get a Scoop', so that fans can post a message on his cars livery.

"The level at which the scheme takes off may have a bearing on what drive I end up with," Jelley added in an interview with British newspaper, The Sun.

"This does not mean that if I fail to get a certain amount then people who have committed may lose out.

"All the terms and conditions have been properly sorted by a solicitor. The members will be actively sponsoring me so whatever race car I end up in, I will honour the scheme."

'Scoop of Jelley' will be launched on Thursday where more information, costs, and Scoops will be available from stand 6405A. Details will also be published on, which will go live from January 14.
