James Nash has agreed a deal to return to the Triple Eight team for the 2011 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship season.

Nash joined the team for the second round of the campaign at Rockingham last year and went on to finish twelfth in the standings at the wheel of a Vauxhall Vectra.

The youngster will now return for a full season with the multiple champions this year, although the car and engine package he will campaign has yet to be announced.

"To have sorted the contract well before the start of the season is fabulous," Nash said. "I'm thrilled to be running again with Triple Eight. My aim this season is to consistently be fighting for the podium positions and hopefully the top step too."

Team boss Ian Harrison said he was pleased to sign Nash up for a second season and was confident he would be a front-runner during the year ahead.

"James is one of the best young drivers in the BTCC and I am delighted that he will be racing with us again," he said. "Last year we only saw glimpses of what he's capable of and I'm sure that with the package we've got lined up this season we'll see a lot more of him competing at the sharp end."

James Nash will act as a columnist for Crash.net throughout the 2011 BTCC season, with his first blog about the year ahead being published today, with further blogs following during the course of the year
