Subaru Team BMR's quartet of Levorg's will take no further part of the British Touring Car Championship Thruxton weekend after being withdrawn on safety grounds.

BMR's decision to side-line it's fleet of Levorg's stems from James Cole's fiery exit from Donington Park.

The outfit had fitted a re-designed high pressure fuel rail component in a bid to rectify the issue, which caused Cole's Levorg to catch fire during race one at Donington Park.

However, the data gathered from the re-manufactured part in question shown evidence of stress following qualifying - prompting Subaru to ground it's BMR challenger for the remainder of the Thruxton event.

Colin Turkington has qualified as the highest Subaru runner in 13th and believed a top-ten result could have been possible, given the Levorg's ability to look after the Dunlop rubber.
