Subaru's Josh Price has been excluded from the race two British Touring Car Championship result at Knockhill, which has promoted Ant Whorton-Eales to the reverse grid pole position.

The BTCC rookie produced an outstanding charge from 18th to eighth in the second race, but has been subsequently thrown out of the result for overtaking and not slowing down under flag signals.

The initial race two classification and reverse grid draw had originally meant BTCC debutant and local hero Rory Butcher was sensationally set to start race three from pole position.

However, the latest ruling means AmD's Whorton-Eales will lead the field away aboard his Audi S3.

The result moves Motorbase Performance's Butcher up to ninth while Whorton-Eales completes the race two top-ten order.
