Team BMW's Rob Collard will not take part in the British Touring Car Championship Double Diamond race as a result of accident damage sustained to his BMW during the second Snetterton race.

Collard ran off the track at Richies on the tenth lap of the second race, which sent his BMW 125i M Sport spearing into the tyre barrier, triggering a safety car in the process.

As such, West Surrey Racing have confirmed they will not be able to repair Collard's car in time for the double points anniversary race.

Collard had also suffered a DNF during the first race after falling victim of the first lap melee during a wet opening encounter.

The Team BMW driver currently sits 13th in the championship.
