Gordon Shedden secured victory in the final Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship race of the weekend at Snetterton as the Scot picked up his third win of the year.

Shedden ran second after the opening lap before taking the lead when James Nash went off the road at Riches, with team-mate Matt Neal following him for the vast majority of the race.

Neal however lost second place on the final lap when he was tagged by Rob Collard going into the Esses, with the Honda running wide and Collard taking the position. Collard was later reprimanded for the move but the result was allowed to stand.

Tom Chilton was fourth for Team Aon after holding off the challenge of double winner Jason Plato while Steven Kane rounded out the top six in the first of the Airwaves BMWs.

Mat Jackson took seventh place with Paul O'Neill battling through to eighth place after the Tech-Speed team managed to repair the damage sustained in his race two accident. Dave Pinkney and Andy Neate rounded out the scorers.

As well as pole-sitter Nash, there was disappointment for Andrew Jordan as he failed to start the race due to engine problems.
