Newly crowned 2004 British Formula Three champion Nelson Piquet Jr ended the season in fine fashion at Brands Hatch, winning the final race of the series by nearly ten seconds at the Kent circuit.

Piquet, who finished second in the first race of the day and secured his crown, was joined on the podium by race one winner James Rossiter and fellow Brazilian Lucas Di Grassi.

Adam Carroll had a better time of it in round 24 of the series, taking fourth place.

Ryan Lewis took Scholarship honours, his seventeenth win of 2004, ahead of Stephen Jelley and Ronayne O'Mahony.
