Coventry have agreed personal terms with talented young Australian Rory Schlein - but the fee paid to his current club Edinburgh could be decided by arbitration.

The Bees are also close to signing Chris Harris and Morten Risager from last season's squad along with German youngster Martin Smolinski. Boss Colin Pratt said: "Things are looking very favourable and that would give us four of next year's team."

And Sheffield have completed the signing of Paul Cooper for his debut Premier League season. Cooper has been a regular in the club's Conference League team for the past two seasons and now feels ready to make the step up.

Tigers co-promoter Neil Machin said: "I've known about Paul Cooper for a few years now, mostly for his grasstrack and longtrack abilities. I've had to keep him very quiet for a couple of years because I knew he was getting through his apprenticeship as a cabinet-maker, and he was
never going to move into speedway full-time prior to the completion of that."
