Audi will look to this weekend's second round of the DTM Championship at the EuroSpeedway Lausitz, near Dresden to continue an impressive seam of form that has seen the marque claim two wins in three years.

After losing out to the Mercedes of Bernd Schneider at the season opener at Hockenheim the Audi squad will look to improve on second and third in the season's opener and ascend to the top step of the podium.

In particular, 2004 champion, Mattias Ekstrom will be relishing the race as the Swede has fond memories of racing of the circuit and the Team Abt Sportsline driver will be hoping to make up for an early retirement at Hockenheim

"I'm already looking forward to the EuroSpeedway," enthused Ekstrom, "It's one of my favourite tracks because in 2001 I clinched my first podium in the DTM here and last year won! After retiring at Hockenheim I'm coming to the EuroSpeedway with an extra dose of motivation. I know that I need a good result there."

Dr Wolfgang Ulrich, Head of Audi Motorsport, is in no doubt that Audi can taste victory at the EuroSpeedway. "We have good memories of the EuroSpeedway from last year," echoed Ulrich, "and since our DTM comeback as a manufacturer we have won two out of three races there."

"The circuit should suit the Audi A4 DTM even a bit than last time at Hockenheim track - that is why we have set our sights on victory."
