Loic Duval has landed a DTM test with Audi at Jerez next week as he looks to start life outside of the World Endurance Championship after the German manufacturer's withdrawal at the end of 2016.

The factory Audi driver was left without a WEC drive after the German manufacturer withdrew its efforts at the end of the 2016 season but keen to retain the French driver's services, Duval has been handed a DTM test alongside three rookies.

Joining the 2013 Le Mans 24 Hours winner and WEC champion is Nyck de Vries, Kelvin van der Linde and Dion von Moltke.

Audi has confirmed Rene Rast and Jamie Green will be used in the DTM young driver test as reference points for the four newcomes. At the same test regular DTM drivers Mattias Ekstrom and Green will test the 2017 prototype Audi RS 5 at the Spanish circuit.

Duval will continue to compete in the FIA Formula E world championship with Faraday Future Dragon Racing.
