Ferrari president Sergio Marchionne has blasted Formula 1 boss Ross Brawn claiming that he is considering moves that are “against the DNA” of F1. Toto Wolff claims that Mercedes have concerns about the distribution of prize funds as “smaller teams struggle on the income side”. After rumours of possible changes such as budget caps, Wolff said “we are not against a cost cap as long as it can be policed in the right way and it has a sensible system. We are not going to cut our workforce by 30 percent from one year to another and we are not going to give up a performance advantage that we have lightly." - Planet F1

Haas driver Kevin Magnussen has voiced his frustration with the top three teams and he believes they have an advantage over the other teams. The Dane said “It is frustrating. It is something that I would like to see change in Formula 1. Of course you are going to have the best teams, the biggest teams, they are going the bestsellers the ones who win the the championships and be at the top most regularly. But I think it would be good if it could be a little bit closer so as a midfield or smallest team if you had a mega race you should be able to get a little more of it.” - Planet F1

World champion Lewis Hamilton has stated that he is not trying to replicate Fernando Alonso’s three unique titles in motorsport. Hamilton has claimed that his only interest are in Formula 1 “It’s very difficult to do something unique and different today, in the past there were drivers who raced in several different categories, but I don’t have the desire to do that.
