Despite initially saying it was going to maintain the current team and directors, the new owners of Hispania Racing have already decided to dispense completely with the services of former proprietor, Jos? Ram?n Carabante.

According to reports in Spanish newspaper, AS, the team's media boss, Alba Saiz, has also been released as Spanish venture capital firm Thesan Capital begins to flex its muscles following the buyout earlier this month [see separate story - click here].

The team's official website has also been altered, with a new logo now displayed, which drops the 'Hispania Racing' tag and instead replaces it with the 'HRT Formula One Team'.

AS adds that the changes are in part a response to an assessment carried out by ex-Minardi man Luis P?rez-Sala at the British Grand Prix two weeks ago.

Speaking ahead of this weekend's event at the Nurburging, Colin Kolles, said he was happy with how things went at Silverstone.

"We reached our next goal with our two cars making it to the finish again. Mid-season, we have assessed the qualities of the cars. The pace is improving," he said.

"The N?rburgring is a technical track which is characterised by medium speed levels and a good mix of slow and fast corners.

"The main challenge will be the weather in the Eifel Mountains which is quite unpredictable just like at Silverstone. Unless the weather disrupts our race, the car should be adapted better to the challenge of our first race in our history on this track."
