Lotus will run its 2014 car - the E22 - for the first time at Jerez on Friday.
Having skipped the first test at the same circuit last week, Lotus will perform a shakedown of its new car during a filming day. The E22 was first revealed in January when the team released an image of the car online at the same time McLaren launched its MP4-29.
finally back to the track work, planing a filming day in Jerez today. looking forward to drive the new E22-- Pastor Maldonado (@Pastormaldo) February 7, 2014
Only Pastor Maldonado is set to drive, with the team limited on a filming day to a maximum of 100km on Pirelli demonstration tyres.
However, with Renault having suffered problems at last week's test, how much running the team is able to carry out could be telling. Renault-powered cars - Red Bull, Toro Rosso and Caterham - only managed a total of 151 laps throughout the whole week of testing at Jerez.
