Ferrari says it will use the final four days of Formula 1 pre-season testing in Bahrain to shake down and fine tune its F14 T before it is shipped off to Australia for the opening round of the 2014 season.

Ferrari F1 returnee Kimi Raikkonen will open proceedings for the Scuderia during the four-day test with a stint on 27th February [Thursday], before handing over to Fernando Alonso for 28th February [Friday]. Raikkonen will then return for the Saturday, before Alonso concludes proceedings on Friday.

The third of three official pre-season F1 tests, Ferrari have singled out the test as a chance to 'fine tune all components on the car, with particular attention focusing on the new power unit' ahead of its being signed off by the FIA in accordance with the homologation process.

Though it has fared better than Red Bull and its rival's Renault-engined counterparts in testing thus far, Ferrari is yet to match the pace of the Mercedes affiliated teams, though it did end the first Bahrain test as the fastest team not using the German firm's engines.
