Sergio Perez was quickest for the second day in succession at the final test in Bahrain, while Red Bull finally showed some pace.

Having been quickest in all three sessions so far this week, Perez's morning time of 1:35.570 again went unbeaten to ensure he ended his pre-season schedule on a high. Force India also managed to complete 108 laps, the second-highest total of all the teams on the second day.

Fernando Alonso was second fastest as Ferrari recovered from a disrupted day on Thursday to register the most amount of laps with 122. Alonso's best time was a 1:35.634, leaving him just 0.064s shy of Perez.

Third quickest was Daniel Ricciardo as he had his most productive day in the Red Bull. Friday was far from smooth for the constructors' champions as it still only completed 65 laps, but Ricciardo's time of 1:35.743 on soft tyres was comfortably the quickest the team has managed so far in Bahrain.

Felipe Massa continued Williams' form with another 103 laps on the second day, and a late improvement saw him go fourth quickest under the floodlights which took effect during the final half hour of running.

It was a more difficult day for McLaren, as Jenson Button caused a red flag in the morning when he stopped on track and was confined to the garage until late in the afternoon. He only added another 32 laps to his morning total of 20, but still ended the day fifth quickest.

Things were more encouraging for Marussia as Jules Bianchi set the sixth fastest time, 2.6s off the overall pace. 75 laps was also the highest total the team has managed in one day. He ended the day ahead of Lewis Hamilton, who had to stop running over an hour before the end of the session with gearbox trouble to blame.

Jean-Eric Vergne got some more solid mileage in for Renault, but Pastor Maldonado's day came to a premature end once again with engine trouble. 31 laps on the final day means Maldonado has only completed 147 throughout the whole of testing.

There were more Renault headaches late in the day when Marcus Ericsson stopped his Caterham on track with flames licking from the rear. Ericsson jumped clear of the car and fire marshals were quickly on the scene, but that limited the team's running to 55 laps having looked more reliable up to that point.
