Valtteri Bottas is confident he is fully-prepared for the 2016 F1 world championship after concluding his pre-season by finishing quickest on day two of the final test.

The Williams driver completed his last day of pre-season testing in Barcelona by notching up 105 laps and produced the quickest lap of the day of 1m 23.621s on the super-soft Pirelli tyres.

Bottas says he ticked off his full testing checklist but believes Williams can still produce gains as he hands over to Felipe Massa for the final two days.

"I had a good four days and a good amount of kilometres with long and short runs," Bottas said. "I am 100% ready for season and feeling good in the car.

"I feel there is quite a bit more to come. We have been learning a lot in the four days I have been driving and the days with Felipe. There are still two days left and we have more to come. We also have some bits for Melbourne and if they work it should be a step. It is a good starting point."

Bottas ducked out of predicting where he believes Williams will fall in the pecking order for the 2016 season opener in two weeks time but feels the British team can still chip away to close the gap at the front.

"Today was a good day, another good amount of kilometres," he said. "That is it from my side for testing so I am feeling positive with the progress we have been making during the testing and I'm sure there are plenty of areas we can still work on to make it even better."
