Zonta crashes at Silverstone.
Ricardo Zonta has escaped relatively unhurt after a big accident in testing at Silverstone this morning [Thursday]
The Brazilian apparently left the circuit in the continuing poor conditions and ended up in a restricted spectator enclosure at Stowe corner. Although his British American Racing chassis was damaged, Zonta is reported to have climbed from the car unscathed. Spectators in the area are also reported to be largely unhurt.

The incident, in which wreckage was apparently scattered over a wide area, will bring into question the safety of Stowe, following on from Michael Schumacher's accident there in last year's British Grand Prix. The German had already said that he was keen to inspect the gravel trap at the corner before Zonta's off this morning.
