Arrows' rookie Enrique Bernoldi will start tomorrow's Malaysian Grand Prix from the back of the grid after his bodywork was found to contravene regulations.

The Brazilian qualified a lowly 19th after another frustrating session for the Leafield team, so the drop to 22nd and last will not make difference to his task on Sunday, but the set-up errors merely confirm the battle the midfield teams are having to cope with the gains being made at the front of the pack.

Arrows are understood to be preparing an appeal against the decision.
