After three days in Valencia, the Panasonic Toyota Racing team today [Friday] concluded a two-day test at the Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona.

Ricardo Zonta was the sole man on track during the short, but productive session, taking to the wheel of the TF103 to conduct a special wet weather tyre test together with the team's technical partner Michelin.

Although no lap times were recorded, Zonta totalled 183 laps of the circuit to take the team's weekly tally from Valencia and Barcelona to 645, or 2,713 kilometres with three cars.

"After a busy two days in Valencia, it was nice to be alone on the track for our special two-day Michelin test in Barcelona," noted the Brazilian, "The track was made wet expressly for our wet weather tyre testing and all in all we found some very encouraging results, particularly for our future tyre tests.

"Olivier [Panis] and Cristiano [da Matta] are going to take over full testing duties in Barcelona next week for a four-day test, our first with two new TF104 race cars."

Toyota will resume testing at the Circuit de Catalunya next week, starting on Tuesday February 3, concluding on Friday February 6.
