After a three-week break from action, Formula One resumes this weekend in Turkey, where the majority of the field are expecting conditions similar to those left behind in Hungary at the end of last month.

Istanbul, Turkey

It now appears as if Saturday will hold out dry and fine, despite earlier predictions of scattered thunderstorms for the region. Good spells of sunshine are likely throughout the day, although cloud will build into the afternoon, with just the outside risk of a shower. Light winds from a northerly source, with temperatures peaking at 30C / 86F. Thirty per cent risk of precipitation.

If there are to be any showers this weekend, they are most likely to occur on race day. A lot of cloud filtering down during the morning, thick enough to produce rain showers of a localised nature. These showers could stick around for the first half of the afternoon, before clearing away later on. Some cloudbursts could be rather sharp and thundery. A light, to moderate wind, with top temperatures of 29C / 83F. Forty per cent risk of precipitation.
