Britain's Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency [DVLA] will be giving Formula One fans the opportunity of a lifetime later this month, when it auctions off a series of exclusive 'F1' personalised number plates.

The auction, which will take place at WilliamsF1's conference centre in Oxfordshire, will comprise twelve registrations beginning with the F1 combination, including F1 GPX, F1 FAN and F1 MAD - obviously perfect for Formula One enthusiasts. And, even though Michael Schumacher retired, F1 SHU may be a tempting reminder of the seven-time champion. A further 1400 distinctive registrations will also be up for grabs, including OO07 SPY and MY55 AMG, which will have their own admirers

"This is the perfect opportunity for avid Formula One fans across the country to secure a truly exclusive F1 registration as the countdown to the racing season begins," DVLA auction manager Jody Davies commented, "Motor racing fans attending the sale will also have the opportunity to visit the Williams F1 Collection, rarely open to the public, which spans the team's 28-year history and includes each of their world championship-winning cars."

The auction will take place over 21-23 February and full details of the available registrations, their reserve prices and guidelines on how to bid can be found at
