Having examined the progress of the last few races, Bridgestone have announced the choice of compounds for a further three Formula 1 grands prix.

Revealing the compounds for the German, Hungarian and Turkish Grands Prix, the decisions have been based on what has been seen this season and what will be best suited to the Nurburgring, Hungaroring and Istanbul Park circuit.

Soft and Medium compounds will be offered for the German Grand Prix, with the tight and twisty Hungaroring featuring 'Super Soft' and Soft compounds, much like the Monaco Grand Prix. The Turkish Grand Prix meanwhile will see Medium and Hard compound tyres put on offer thanks to the demands of its long, high-speed bends. Bridgestone's range of wet tyres will remain the same.

"Now we have experienced all four Bridgestone Potenza compounds in race conditions we can announce the compounds we will use for a further three races in the calendar," said Bridgestone's Head of Track Engineering, Kees van d Grint.

"These compounds have been chosen using the data collected at the races so far, added with our predictions and our past experience of the circuits. Of particular note will be the European Grand Prix at the Nurburgring.

"The change of date to July should mean hotter weather and our tyre choice of the soft and medium Potenzas reflects this. Although we expect hotter conditions the micro-climate means that the temperature and conditions can vary tremendously at this location."
