It took a lot of waiting - and a few false dawns - but the World Motor Sport Council has given its verdict in the Formula 1 spying row, and it doesn't make good reading if you are a McLaren fan.

Excluded from the lead of the constructors' championship and hit with a $100 million fine, the team now needs to quickly regroup and switch focus back to the race track for the Belgian Grand Prix to ensure that drivers Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso maintain their quest to secure the drivers' crown.
