Mark Webber is keen to return Red Bull Racing to the points after securing seventh position on the grid for the Belgian Grand Prix.

The Australian has made his presence felt in the top ten over the course of the weekend, but he very nearly didn't make it to the shootout when the team bungled the timing of his final lap in the second phase of qualifying and Webber didn't get around to start it.

However, a failure to improve for anyone behind him allowed Webber to sneak into the top ten, a status he made the most of when he secured eighth on the grid - a position that becomes seventh when Robert Kubica's penalty is taken into account.

Although Webber admits he would have liked to have gone faster, he was pleased to be back inside the top ten for the first time since the Nurburgring and is now hoping he can translate that into some good points.

"I would have liked to have got a little bit more from my last lap, but it's good to qualify eighth at least. We've got a reasonable strategy from there, so we'll see what tomorrow brings. It was a pretty close qualifying session with middle group tight as ever, but we'll do what we can in the race to get some points."
