Dutch-Chinese driver Ho-Pin Tung will join the BMW Sauber team for its final Pit Lane Park outing of the season, at Shanghai International Circuit next weekend.

The GP2 regular, who scored his first points in the category at Spa last time out, will pilot an F1.07 along a 90-metre section of track at the Chinese circuit as BMW Sauber again opens its doors to fans. The outing will be Tung's second in an F1 car, following on from a Williams test at Jerez awarded for his success in the 2003 Formula BMW Asia championship. Since then, he has represented China in A1GP and won the German F3 title in 2006, leading to his deal to contest this year's GP2 Series with BCN Competicion.

"I can hardly wait to get back behind the wheel of a Formula One car," Tung admitted, "When BMW granted me my first test drive four years ago, I had absolutely no doubt that I wanted to get into Formula One. I'm working very hard to achieve that goal but, in the meantime, I'm looking forward to giving my compatriots an experience of the BMW Sauber F1 Team car right up close. I'm sure the Pit Lane Park will be a unique event, not just for me, but for all those who visit it."
