Felipe Massa has claimed pole position for his home Brazilian Grand Prix, but all eyes are on title protagonists Lewis Hamilton, Kimi Raikkonen and Fernando Alonso who will start second, third and fourth respectively at Interlagos.

Massa was dominant throughout the top ten shootout to come away with pole position by two tenths, suggesting Ferrari are looking to get Raikkonen into play by fuelling the Brazilian light.

Even so, Hamilton almost beat him with his final lap, but instead managed to slot his way into second place, three tenths faster than Raikkonen, while Alonso was four hundredths further back in fourth place.

Mark Webber was an impressive fifth for Red Bull, with Nick Heidfeld, Robert Kubica, Jarno Trulli, David Coulthard and Nico Rosberg rounding out the top ten.
