With the MotoGP season having drawn to a close at Valencia, Monday saw a number of guest riders take to the track at the Spanish circuit for a special test - with two famous faces from the Formula 1 world amongst them.

Seven-time F1 champion Michael Schumacher and Scuderia Toro Rosso co-owner Gerhard Berger were amongst those to try out MotoGP machinery, with Schumacher onboard the Ducati Desmosedici that carried Casey Stoner to the 2007 title and Berger riding the Repsol Honda that won the season finale in the hands of Dani Pedrosa.

The test marked the second time that Schumacher had sampled two wheels, although the first test was carried out in private at Mugello back in 2005.

While the German was well off the pace during that initial run, his second outing on two-wheels saw him post a time just five seconds away from the race lap record - his tuition from former racer Randy Mamola having paid dividends.
