Three members of McLaren's Formula 1 crew have been treated and released by medical staff after a small fire emerged in the team's garage during a filming day at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.

Following the conclusion of the first collective F1 pre-season test on Thursday, McLaren stayed on in Barcelona for a private filming day on Friday, during which a small fire broke out.

The team confirmed in a short statement that three crew members had been affected, but all had since been treated and cleared by medical staff.

"There was a small fire in the garage during the team’s private filming day," the statement reads.

"The fire was quickly extinguished by the team, and circuit emergency services and medical teams attended immediately in support.

"Three team members were taken to the medical centre for treatment and were released shortly after."
