FIA officials have removed a sausage kerb at the exit of Parabolica ahead of the final Formula 1 practice session for the Italian Grand Prix after Formula 3 driver Alex Peroni suffered a dramatic crash in Saturday's race.

Campos driver Peroni ran wide at Parabolica in the closing stages of the F3 race before he went directly over the sausage kerb, causing his car to be thrown metres into the air, spinning numerous times.

Peroni's car crashed down into the catch fencing and barrier at the exit of the corner, coming down to rest on top of the barrier. The Australian walked away from the crash unharmed, but has been taken to hospital for tests.

The start of FP3 was delayed as officials removed the sausage kerb in question and completed repairs to the barrier and catch fencing, with the session ultimately starting 10 minutes late.
