Mahaveer Raghunathan will miss next week’s FIA Formula 2 round in Austria after hitting the penalty points limit on his racing licence on Saturday at Paul Ricard.

MP Motorsport driver Raghunathan was found after the race to have broken procedure in all three Virtual Safety Car periods in the F2 Feature Race, resulting in 15 seconds being added to his race time and three points being added to his licence for each infringement.

With the nine points added to his licence, Raghunathan has now accrued 12 penalty points, resulting in a one-round ban for Austria.

The Indian driver will still be able to take part in Sunday's Sprint Race at Paul Ricard, as well as being eligible to return to F2 for the British round at Silverstone in mid-July.

Tatiana Calderon had 10 seconds added to her post-race time due to two VSC infringements, while Sean Gelael is required to start Sunday's Sprint Race from the pit lane after causing a collision with Prema teammate Mick Schumacher.
