Red Bull junior Patricio O'Ward will make his FIA Formula 2 debut this weekend in Austria after being entered as a replacement for the banned Mahaveer Raghunathan.

2018 Indy Lights champion O'Ward has been racing in IndyCar throughout the first half of the year with Carlin, and was picked up by Red Bull to its junior programme back in May.

While doubts have arisen over his IndyCar plans for the remainder of the year due to funding questions, O'Ward will make his F2 debut at the Red Bull Ring this weekend with MP Motorsport.

The Mexican was named on the FIA's entry list ahead of the Austria race weekend in place of Raghunathan, who has been banned for the round after hitting the penalty points limit on his racing licence. O'Ward will race alongside Jordan King at MP Motorsport.

The only other change for the Austria weekend is the return of India's Arjun Maini, who joins Campos in place of Dorian Boccolacci.
