Having made a successful foray in to the British Formula Three Championship at Spa-Francorchamps last weekend, Euroseries regular Robert Doornbos will be hoping to carry some of his form into this Sunday's pair of races at the A1-Ring in Austria.

The seventh round of the Euroseries Championship comes at just the right time for Doornbos, who took a maiden F3 pole with Menu Motorsport at Spa - ahead of the British series regulars - and finished on the podium at the last Euro round at the Nurburgring amid a run of points finishes. The Dutchman heads to Austria.

"Everything went well for us," Doornbos said of his Spa outing, "I think the track suited me and my car. The second qualifying session was held on dry conditions and my team did a fantastic job setting up the car. It was a fantastic day for me and the team."

The Dutchman returns to his more familiar Team Ghinzani Dallara-Mugen this weekend - having raced an Opel-powered example in Belgium - and will look to challenge points leader Ryan Briscoe and the other front-runners in this weekend's double-header. His greatest threat, however, may yet come from local hero Christian Klien, who heads to Austria on the back of success in both the last Euroseries round and at the Marlboro Masters on Doornbos' home patch, Zandvoort.
