Menu F3Motorsport are gearing up for a sensational inaugural trip to the Far East, where they will contest the 50th Macau Grand Prix and the 5th Korea Formula 3 Super Prix, held over the last two weeks of November.

For these two prestigious races the team will feature the driving line-up of the 'Two Roberts'- Doornbos and Austin. For Doornbos it will be his second year contesting the street races, whilst for Austin it's his first time.

The team is expecting Doornbos' experience to pay particular dividends as they go for glory. "We are not there to make up the numbers, we are there to win," says team owner, and former BTCC champion, Alain Menu. "Both drivers never seem to get the credit they deserve, winning either event would put that right."

Menu F3Motorsports has achieved fifthteen podium positions in the British F3 Championship in 2003, and this includes a display of pure genius from Rob Austin at Donington to score the team's maiden win. At Donington Austin led all but two corners and was sometimes up to two seconds a lap quicker than the opposition in the wet!

The team also scored two second places (Doornbos & Will Davison) and a fastest lap at the last round at Brands Hatch, in all the team have had four different drivers on the front row this year - some feat!.

"It's been a frustrating year in many ways," said team boss Mike Baker. "Austin lost some eight races due to his broken hand and having to chop and change on the driving front caused some problems, however in the end it all came right.

"We know the cars are quick, our engine package from Spiess is first class and we recently tested at Snetterton, with Robert Doornbos on driving duties (Austin was away driving for Dome in Japan), he tested both cars and was able to evaluate and incorporate further chassis developments specifically for Macau and Korea."
