Ferrari Driver Academy member Robert Shwartzman will race with Prema in this year's FIA Formula 3 Championship, completing the Italian team's line-up.

Shwartzman, 19, finished third in last year's FIA European Formula 3 series and won the rookies' championship for Prema, as well as claiming the Toyota Racing Series title in New Zealand early in the year.

The Russian driver will continue with Prema through 2019, racing alongside Jehan Daruvala and fellow Ferrari junior Marcus Armstrong.

"I'm delighted to continue my relationship with Prema Racing. I really found great chemistry with the team especially in the final part of the season," Shwartzman said.

"It's great to be part of the family and I feel particularly at ease. Our goal is to win the championship and I'm sure that Prema has the potential to fulfill that goal."

The inaugural FIA F3 season begins on May 11 in Barcelona.
