Leonardo Pulcini swept to his first win of the FIA Formula 3 season on Sunday at Silverstone as Robert Shwartzman recovered the lead of the drivers' championship from Prema teammate Jehan Daruvala.

Starting fifth on the grid, Pulcini picked his way through the order early on before passing Red Bull junior Liam Lawson for the lead nearing half-distance, slinging his car around the outside of Brooklands.

Pulcini was able to pull out a comfortable gap en route to his third win at this level following two GP3 Series victories last year, and a third of the season for Hitech Grand Prix.

Shwartzman was able to pass Lawson for second place with a few laps to go, which was enough to return to the lead of the drivers' championship after contact between Pedro Piquet and Jehan Daruvala while both chased Lawson meant neither scored any points.

Lawson therefore completed the podium ahead of Marcus Armstrong and Christian Lundgaard, while Saturday winner Juri Vips finished down in P13.

The FIA Formula 3 season continues in three weeks' time at the Hungaroring.
