Nelson Piquet Jr will receive a five-place grid penalty at the next Formula E race but retains his podium after finishing third in Buenos Aires.

A number of post-race penalties were imposed by the stewards in Argentina, with Piquet Jr being handed a five-place grid penalty for speeding under yellow flags. However, with the penalty only applying for the Miami ePrix in March, his third place in Sunday's race stands.

While Piquet Jr's penalty doesn't effect his final position in Buenos Aires, Salvador Duran was excluded for exceeding the maximum power usage. The Amlin Aguri driver - who saw team-mate Antonio Felix da Costa win the race - had originally finished in eighth place.

Duran's exclusion moves Nick Heidfeld up to eighth, with Oriol Servia promoted to ninth and Stephane Sarrazin scoring the final point in tenth place.

Jarno Trulli is another driver who will have a penalty at the next race in Miami, with a gearbox change leading to a 10-place grid penalty.
