Former Formula 1 star Charles Pic is a late replacement for this weekend's Miami ePrix with China Racing.

The French driver, who competed for Caterham and Marussia as well as acting as Lotus test driver in F1, will replace Ho-Pin Tung. It will be his second Formula E race after he finished fourth in the inaugural ePrix in Beijing last September for Andretti Autosport.

Chinese driver Tung had competed for the team in Beijing, Putrajaya and Buenos Aires but failed to score a single points finish.

Despite missing the past three Formula E rounds between Beijing and Miami, the French driver sits joint-13th in the drivers' standings, level on points with fellow former Formula 1 driver Jarno Trulli.

Pic will now have 48 hours to prepare for the race in Miami, which is scheduled for this Saturday (14th March).
