Salvador Duran has returned Team Aguri for the remainder of the 2015-16 Formula E championship, replacing the outgoing Nathanael Berthon.

The Mexican driver competed for Team Aguri in nine rounds of the inaugural Formula E season notching up 13 points on his way to 21st in the championship standings. Duran replaces Berthon who has left Formula E in order to concentrate on his sportscar endurance racing career.

Marc Faggionato, team owner, says Duran has been welcomed back to the team with open arms and expects him to get up to speed immediately due to his previous experience competing for them in the all-electric series.

"Salvador is a perfect fit for the team and it's great to have him joining us. His experience in the series is crucial, given the unique handling of these cars, and will play a major role in driving the team's development forward for the remainder of the season and into next year."

Duran, who had joined Trulli Formula E for this season before the squad pulled out of the championship and subsequently folded, will return to action for Team Aguri at the Buenos Aires ePrix 6th February.

"I am very excited to have re-signed for Team Aguri," he said. "This is a very ambitious team with some of the best engineering and technical knowledge in Formula E.

"I am particularly looking forward to my home race in Mexico next March. The atmosphere will be amazing and I can't wait to put on a good show for my fans."
