Robin Frijns will return to the FIA Formula E Championship next season after penning a new deal with the rebranded MS Amlin Andretti team ahead of the 2015/16 finale in London.

The former Formula Renault 3.5 champion returned to single-seaters with a move into the all-electric series this season, Frijns picking up a maiden podium in his second race in Malaysia.

In contention to finish his campaign inside the overall top ten ahead of this weekend's Battersea Park finale, Frijns arrives in London as the highest-placed Formula E rookie.

As such, he will return for the 2016/17 season, agreeing a new deal with the American team, which has undergone a rebrand and livery change for the final round to become 'MS Amlin Andretti'. The change is a nod to Amlin owner Mitsui Sumitomo.
