2016 Formula V8 3.5 champion Tom Dillmann will make his Formula E race debut next month in Paris, deputising for Maro Engel at Venturi.

Dillmann, 28, featured for Venturi in shakedown for the Mexico City ePrix last month in place of Stephane Sarrazin, who had to miss the Friday running due to clashing commitments with Toyota at Monza.

The Frenchman will now step in for Venturi's other driver, Engel, who is tied up with DTM duties on May 20 when Formula E makes its second visit to Paris.

Dillmann has appeared in a number of series in recent years, taking victories in GP2 and the FIA World Endurance Championship before committing to a full-season campaign in F3.5, yielding a title win last year.
