Having parted company with the Graham Nash Motorsport team, Joel Camathias will link up with Autorlando Sport for the forthcoming 24-hour FIA GT round at Spa-Francorchamps.

The 24-year old Swiss driver will join a strong Italian line-up featuring Alex Caffi, Franco Groppi and Luigi Moccia for the assault on the most prestigious event on the calendar, having previously driven with the team in 2001 and again in this year's Le Mans Endurance Series. The quartet will pilot the # 67 Porsche 996 GT3 RSR in the GT2 class.

"I'm really thankful to [Autorlando team owner] Mr Redolfi for giving me this great opportunity," Camathias said, "Sharing the # 67 car with three friends and such professional drivers is really a great chance for me.

"With Gino [Moccia] and Franco [Groppi], we had a great moment this year, finishing on the podium of the 1000km race of Spa. That is already a good starting point, but we know that it will be another story for the 24 Hours."

Spa will be Camathias' first ever 24-hour race, having previously concentrated on a single-seater career that culminated in the US-based Champ Car series.
