Pietro Fantin and International Draco Racing fought off tough competition to end the final day of Formula Renault 3.5 pre-season testing fastest.

The Brazilian topped the morning time sheets after his benchmark of 1:25.945 could not be surpassed. Sergey Sirotkin led much of the afternoon session but settled for second, six hundredths-of-a-second behind in his Fortec Motorsports model.

Pierre Gasly was the fastest rookie in third whilst Marco Sorensen, the only driver representing Tech 1 Racing, was fourth overall.

Nikolay Martsenko and Roberto Merhi posted impressive times in the morning test to put them fifth and sixth respectively. Meanwhile, long time leader in the afternoon, Marlon Stockinger could not improve on his overall position and his Lotus model remained seventh.

Oliver Rowland, Carlos Sainz Jr and Jazeman Jaafar concluded their positive testing campaigns with top ten finishes.

Tio Ellinas moved from Tech 1 Racing to Pons Racing for the final day of testing and the Cypriot finished down in seventeenth. Beitske Visser, who was recently confirmed at AV Formula for the 2014 season, did not improve on her morning time and concluded her test nineteenth overall.

Formula Renault 3.5 will return next month for the season opener in Monza. Currently, seventeen drivers are confirmed for this season.
