Season summary:

It was wonderful to see Tom Dillmann get a proper chance to show what he can do in GP2. He had initially shone with a podium in the 2011 GP2 Final exhibition event, then taken his maiden GP2 victory in Bahrain for Rapax in 2012 before money troubles meant the team dropped him. Fortunately he was given a reprieve in 2013 by a new addition to the series, Russian Time, who paired him up with Sam Bird. Ten finishes in the points including podiums at Silverstone and Monza all contributed to Russian Time securing the team championship, although Dillmann himself had to watch the finale from the pit wall after suffering a neck injury the previous day that also ruled him out of post-season testing. The 24-year-old should be mended again in no time and hopefully will get a full GP2 sophomore season in 2014.
