The Euro F3000 Championship will make two historic visits to the Arabian Gulf region next year, having revealed Bahrain and Dubai as additions to its ten-race calendar.

The season will start in Bahrain on 19 March, acting as a curtain-raiser for the Formula One world championship, formally christening the circuit before the grand prix boys are unleashed upon it. Dubai follows at the opposite end of the schedule, adding another high-speed sport to the state's repertoire before the season climaxes with its now traditional visit to the streets of Cagliari.

Of the other seven venues, Donington Park, Estoril, Monza and Spa-Francorchamps retain their place on the calendar, as does the annual visit to Sicily and Enna-Pergusa, although a date has not yet been confirmed for the race. With Dubai and Bahrain taking up two of the slots on the otherwise European schedule, Jerez, Brno and the Nurburgring miss out, with Dijon and Zolder making up the numbers.

The full schedule is as follows:

March 19 Bahrain
May 2 Donington Park
May 16 Estoril
TBC Enna-Pergusa
June 27 Monza
July 18 Spa-Francorchamps
September 5 Dijon-Prenois
September 19 Zolder
October 17 Dubai
TBC Cagliari
