Adrian Valles has moved into third place in the GP2 Asia series standings after two solid points finishes in the latest round of the season at Sentul.

Valles qualified in third place for the opening feature race and, after battling with Luca Filippi in the early stages, took the flag in third place. However, when Filippi was then excluded from the result for a tyre infringement, it promoted Valles into second place behind Sebastien Buemi.

From seventh on the grid for the sprint race, Valles made the most of the limited racing available to take fifth place and he now sits just behind Bruno Senna in the championship standings going into the next round of the season in Malaysia.

Team-mate Michael Herck meanwhile took tenth in the feature race and 12th in the sprint race, with team principal Paolo Colini declaring himself happy with the weekend.

"We have shown since the start of the series that we are quick and consistent, and Adrian's strong results have put him third in the championship, with a very good chance of improving that at the next races," he said. "Michael has also shown his talent this weekend, finishing both races when there were many accidents."
